Following a hugely successful first two years in business, it was decided that both Balltec and our customers would benefit from the certification of our quality management system to the ISO 9001: 2000 standard.

After disappointing experiences with quality management consultants, the decision was made to produce & implement our quality management system internally.

The benefits brought by a bespoke quality management system far outweigh those provided with an “off the shelf” system, and the Directors of the firm were keen to ensure the system was built around the company, rather than attempting to build the company around the system. Following the audit by TÜV, carried out on 8th November 2007, we are delighted to announce our successful ISO 9001 certification.

The scope of the accreditation covers the “design, assembly, testing and deployment or installation of recovery, mooring and connecting equipment for use primarily in the offshore oil and gas industries.”

The principle of continual improvement is fundamental to ISO 9001, and by monitoring our customers’ perceptions of the company we aim to increase customer satisfaction in all areas of our business, from initial contact with our sales department right through to the final installation or deployment of the finished product.
