About Balltec :: Our Facilities
Balltec manufactures, assembles and tests all of its products from its head office and workshop facility in Morecambe, Lancashire, UK. In 2011 Balltec re-located to new premises to house an expanding workforce and larger more complex bespoke engineering solutions.

Main Workshop
Balltec’s main 40,000ft2 (3720m2) workshop has an eaves height of 48ft (15m) with a 30mT overhead crane spanning the full 115ft (35m) width of the building. The workshop is fitted out with a hydraulic clean area, storage racking, secondary 5mT and 3mT overhead cranes and office facilities for visiting inspectors.
In addition the main workshop stores the fleet of 3mT, 5mT and 16mT forklift trucks and houses our 2000mT vertical test rig and 1000mT horizontal test rigs for the MBL and proof load testing of Balltec tools. To the front of the workshop is a substantial yard space.
Secondary Workshop
Balltec’s secondary 12,500ft2 (1150m2 ) workshop also boasts 48ft (15m) eaves height and 115ft (35m) width. The secondary workshop is currently undergoing a re-fit to include full length and width cranage, spraying and sand blasting booths and additional racking for storage of the PipeLOK™ fleet.
In addition to the workshops Balltec has significant office accommodation with room for external inspectors.
